Lifestyle Changes



This current situation happened so quickly that there was no real chance to prepare, let alone learn the necessary skills to cope with self-isolation and social distancing. Lifestyle changes occurred overnight and that was that! Are you coping with the changes and also managing to find time to relax?

New Lifestyle Changes

The majority of my day used to be spent creating, with a small amount of time allocated to social media etc. Within the first week of lockdown, technology took over. Using the telephone more and working online became the norm, which involved joining on-line meetings and using social media to not only keep in touch with business contacts, but also family and friends. It was non-stop!

These lifestyle changes have been my greatest challenge, but a routine is gradually emerging, which also allows me to continue creating and find some me time.

Different World

Some of you may now have plenty of time on your hands and others may be juggling a multitude of tasks: home schooling, entertaining the children, looking after the family and still trying to work remotely.

In this different world, whatever camp you fall into, you need to find a quiet space for yourself and find time to relax.


As a creative, a pencil and paper are the first tools I pick up to sketch (or doodle), whenever I have a few free moments.

Doodling can be both therapeutic and relaxing. It helps you to be in the moment and practice mindfulness – who knew?

I am so grateful that a change in working practice and shopping for groceries are all I have to worry about!

Whilst we stay safe at home, all key workers from the NHS, to emergency services, to waste collection, to care workers and shop assistants, naming just a few, are performing their duties in very difficult, scary times. They deserve our gratitude.
